Welcome to Outsiders, celebrating our 30th Year

On 29th January 2009, Outsiders became 30 years old. We think this is quite an achievement, as we are still providing the same excellent service to disabled people around the world, are engaged in important projects and continue to pioneer for the improvement of disabled people's personal and private lives.

The Outsiders Club is a vibrant social and peer support network of disabled people. We are many different things to our many different members. Most are hoping their personal dreams will come true and, for those who make the effort, they usually do.

Our Sex and Disability Helpline functions from 11am – 7pm weekdays on 0707 499 3527, email sexdis@Outsiders.org.uk

SHADA, our Sexual Health and Disability Alliance, consists of 100 professionals who concern themselves with the sexual wellbeing of their disabled clients, patients, residents and students, and aim to inspire their peers to do likewise.

Whenever possible, Outsiders works together with other groups to campaign for the acceptance of disabled people as sexual partners.

Our 30th Anniversary is being celebrated with a big Celebratory Gathering on 22nd August, two arts projects, campaigns, an Open Day in Tiverton in May, Great Expectations in the Highlands in June and a Conference at the Royal Society of Medicine in November – details Here
