Outsiders runs a range of amazing events, most of them lunches for our members. Members travel huge distances and the lunches provide a dynamic melting pot of people with a huge range of disabilities, varying views and values, getting to know one another. We sometimes run a workshop in the corner of the restaurant mid-afternoon. Volunteers welcome newcomers, and ensure that shy individuals, and people with speech impairments and other communication difficulties, never feel left out.
Our events provide a place for safe and effective peer support, making Outsiders a more sensible and interesting choice than the online disabled dating sites.
