Outsiders is a social, peer support and dating club, run by and for socially and physically disabled people. Our members have a wide range of impairments, including visual and hearing impairment. They tell us only other disabled people really understand them, so make the best partners.
All new members are vetted by experienced volunteers.
We are thus very different to other dating sites and all profiles are genuine.
We are a run as a respectful and very personal international private club.
Members enjoy peer support, friendship and romance, and many find love.
We have a large, safe private Facebook Clubhouse which enjoys lively discussions and private communication. We have many Group Chats on the go, which provide both peer support and a chance for members to decide how and when they would like to meet up locally.
Our local lunches are warm and friendly, where everybody is introduced to one another and has fun: there are lively group discussions, whilst others spend their time getting to know one another.
The Outsiders Trust also offers support on relationships, sexuality, dating and sexual services,
to all disabled people and a wide range of their therapists and health and social care professionals.
This work is featured widely in Jessica Kingsley’s book Supporting Disabled People with their Sexual Lives.
We offer all this for free: on the Sex and Disability Helpline, SHADA, SHADA International, the TLC website, and the Sexual Respect Tool Kit.
Outsiders campaigns for disabled and disfigured people to receive good sex and disability education,
and be accepted as sexual, loving partners. Most of our volunteers and Trustees are disabled.
Admin, projects and funding are handled by the Outsiders Trust chaired by Mikey Argy MBE,
Charity No 283350 — see here
