From Anonymous of Who Knows Where

Hi! We are two members of the Outsiders family and would like to share our story so far, as we feel it will offer hope to any members who are disheartened or lack optimism about the future. We hope you don't mind that we remain anonymous for the time being - but who knows how we may feel about 'going public' at some time in the future.

We are both in our 30's - I am male and my friend is female - and met when Eleni, from the Outsiders office, kindly recommended that I make contact with this person when I first joined the club just over a year ago. We were both quite nervous and shy at first, so initially we exchanged letters but soon found some confidence and started to phone each other. It took some time before we felt strong enough to finally meet up.

We followed all the advice and met during the day, in public - that was on New Year's Eve last year and some six month's after we had been introduced. Yes, we are a cautious pair! Since then, we have been meeting up at least every few weeks. We have given each other much confidence. We discuss everything we do well in advance and make sure we are both comfortable. We both like our space and mutual respect has been very important to the growth of our relationship.

Over the last few months, we have been able to reach a new level of intimacy. For me especially, this has been a whole new and amazing experience. We will continue to grow in our relationship, because we trust each other. Without Outsiders, we would never have met, so we owe much of our success to all the members who continue to give so much of themselves. Thank you.

We hope that anybody reading who might be fearful about forming relationships or feels all their efforts are in vain, will take heart from our story. Yes, these things can take time but if you can be hopeful and keep searching, you may well match or surpass our success. Remember, everything is possible with patient hope!

Take care and Cheers!
